So I saw the movie called “Accepted” with Justin Long in it and I am getting scared.?
Its a movie about some guy who gets rejected from every college he applies to so he opens his own college and it doesn’t go so well. I just saw the movie on comedy central today.
Okay, same ol story. I have a 3.4 overall GPA and an 1840 SAT score (I plan on retaking it so I can get a 2200). I am stressing out because I went to some forum today and people with 3.6 GPAs (they went to regular high schools instead of magnet high schools) were turned down from Colleges they applied to.
Just so you know:
Colleges I want to apply to =
John Carroll University
Boston University
University of Vermont
Armstrong Atlantic (its in GA, the only college in GA I want to go to since I will also get the hope scholarship)
NYU
Savannah State (also get HOPE Scholarship for that)
and I will be adding two more to the list, I am trying to look for two more.
I am worried
*bites nail*
is it possible for me to not get into any of those colleges?
No, you should definitely be able to get into Savannah State and Armstrong Atlantic. Your chances are good at John Carroll, too, because geographic distribution and going to a magnet school will help you. The toughest schools on your list are NYU and Boston U, but Boston U. accepts 60% of its applicants, so even that is a possibility. Stop biting those nails — you’ll be fine! (But do retake the SAT — the extra points will help.)
