How do you get organized as a university/college student?
I am a high school student going to grade 10.
I am curious how you get organized at the university/college level?
Is it same as I do in high school, just get dividers, and date things or is it more?
Thanks,
Mosh Pit.
I have always been an organized student. I was homeschooled in high school and actually planned my own curriculum and taught myself much of everything.
At university, I have never been given school supply requirements other than books and a graphing calculator for statistics.
I usually have separate notebooks and folders for each class. I keep the folders in a …what’s the word…”trapper keeper” with a small pen/pencil holder, erasers, and highlighters. Keep your course schedule in to with times and classroom numbers and know where you are going before the first day of class. Always show up 5 to 10 minutes early for class– sometimes my professors would give us information that we needed to know or chat with us beforehand. This led to letters of recommendation when I needed them for transfer purposes.
That’s what I do. However, there may be things that work for you that wouldn’t work for me. It’s about finding what works for you. But you still have 2 years before you really need to worry about it. =)
